In the eastern Aegean the Dodecanese Islands include Patmos, Leros, Kalymnos, Kos, Symi and Tilos together with a myriad of smaller islets. With the exception of the more bustling islands of Kos and Rhodes most of the Dodecanese offer traditional, blue-and-white fishing villages, 12th century fortresses and little harbours, many hard to reach without a yacht.
