The Elaphiti (Elafiti) islands are an archipelago (a group of islands) situated close to Dubrovnik. They consist of six islands not inclusive of any small islets. The Elafiti Islands have three main islands called Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan. Altogether the islands have a population of less than 1,000 people with Kolocep and Lopud being entirely car free. Surrounded by enchanting reefs, beautiful caves, sandy beaches, old ports and pretty little villages. The islands are ideal for relaxing, swimming and snorkelling and are the perfect place to escape the summer crowds.
