Kornati Islands Sailing Itinerary
A two week trip discovering of the beautiful Kornati Islands…
Primošten is known for it turquoise waters, white pebble beaches, rocky coves and vineyards. Buildings of white limestone with red-tiled roofs occupy the perfectly round peninsula that extends out from the mainland into the sea.
Situated in a protected bay of the Krka River where freshwater mixes with the salt water of the Adriatic Sea and known as the gateway to the Krka National Park. It has a picturesque harbour, a beautiful old town and the famous Krka waterfalls.
Rogoznicas has something for everyone. There cosmopolitan Marina Frapa which has be dubbed ‘royalty among the Adriatic Marinas’ or for a more serene experience visit the nearby village of Zatoglav. Home to the Brightly coloured Dragon’s Eye, a salt water oval lake with cliffs ranging from 4 to 24 metres surrounding it.
The small fishing village of Prvic Luka is perfect place for tranquillity and seclusion. Prvic Luka is one of two villages on the car-free island of Prvic. With peaceful beaches and stunning Mediterranean landscape covered with underbrush, vineyards and olive trees.
The Kornati islands are an archipelago consisting of 140 islands and islets. With its natural beauty, numerous coves and crystal clear blue waters, it’s easy to see why this part of Croatia has been designated a national park.
Dugi Otok translates to long island. Covered in vineyard and orchards it is truly beautiful. On the north of the island is Saharun beach which is surrounded by pine tree and crystal clear waters as far as the eye can see. The southern part of the island is also part of the Telascica Nature Park
Mali Lošinj, the largest town on Lošinj Island. Located at the tip of a long natural harbour surrounded by town houses, green hills and the town.
Unije Island is a paradise. It has numerous beautiful bays with crystal blue water and stunning beaches. The majority of the island is taken over by pastures with sheep and cows walking freely and no cars.
The island of Rab has the oak forest of the Mediterranean. Rab has a beach for everyone, beaches for cliff lovers on the western part, gravel shores on the southern part and everywhere else is mostly sandy. It has beautiful coves for swimming and exploring.
Silba Island is a pretty and peaceful island. It was multiple picturesque beaches, including the shallow sandy bottomed beach of Dobre Vode. Although, the island is relatively flat it has dramatic steep rock forms in Nozdre
Vodice’s harbour is a gorgeous place with much to do, whether that’s having a cold drink, a long lunch or taking a look at the little shops. A short sail from Vodice is the island of Zlarin which is well know for its beautiful coral.
Kaprije is a peaceful farming and fishing island. St Peter’s harbour is in a deeply indented cove which is an excellent shelter from all winds. The local taverns exude hospitality with standout culinary specialities such as multi-coloured risotto and whitefish.
