Bareboat Yacht Charter Croatia

An azure sea of opportunities

Bareboat Charter Split & Trogir

Starting your journey from Split or Trogir exploring the islands of central Dalmatia is one of the most enticing parts of Croatia and one of the easiest to explore by yacht. A destination that suits all sailing abilities with lots of options for short island hops in some of the most sheltered waters in Croatia. An exciting and diverse choice of more far reaching islands await adventurous sailors. Croatia leads the way when it comes to yachting infrastructure, being able to pre-book a berth at one of the many fantastic marinas, quays, taverna pontoon and mooring buoys means you can sail care free until sunset.

Bareboat Charter Kornati

The Kornati sailing area is made up of three island groups and is one of the best destinations in Croatia for bareboat sailing. With so many islands to discover it’s ideal for those who love exploring, surrounded by nature away from some of the more sought out areas near Dubrovnik and Split. Kornati has something to offer both new and experienced sailors alike, from short island hops and relaxing in the secluded bays, to more invigorating passages and discovering as many islands as you can. Anchor down in tranquil bays close to tucked away tavernas, or stay overnight in a modern marina to explore historical towns and inspiring cities.

Bareboat Charter Dubrovnik

Start your charter in Dubrovnik and indulge in one of the most attractive and famous cities of the Mediterranean. From here the coastline heading north is relatively unspoiled and it’s still possible to find quiet anchorages, even at the height of the season. Explore natural beauty, grand palaces, award-winning vineyards and rustic tavernas. Choose short hops around groups of small islands or more adventurous sailing further afield. Explore national parks, beautiful beaches and swim stops, away from the more sought-out destinations further north.

LICENCE FOR BAREBOAT YACHT CHARTERS IN CROATIA?

To sail a yacht bareboat in Croatia the Croatian authorities require the skipper to be over 18 and have a sailing licence issued by a statutory authority. Currently this would be a photo card RYA Coastal Skipper practical certificate or higher, Bareboat Chartering Standard (ASA 104) or the equivalent from your country, ICC (International Certificate of Competence) for sail or an IPC (International Proficiency Certificate) or SLC (Sailing Licence & Credentials) with NauticEd.  A VHF radio license is also required. The co-skipper should also be competent to assist the skipper to sail the yacht you are chartering and be over 18 years old. Higher level certification, such as Yacht Master is sometimes required for larger yachts, for example, catamarans over 50 feet. We can help you navigate your way to have the right qualifications and experience for the yacht you want to charter.
